Cathy is a member of the Legal Project Management Global Steering Committee responsible for guiding the global development and implementation of the firm’s legal project management approach.
As Head of Legal Project Management, UK/US & EMEA, Cathy oversees the operations of the London-based team and supports Legal Project Managers across the region.
Cathy works with Libby Jarvis, Head of Legal Project Management, Australia and Asia to support the firm in developing global consistency in the way it designs and delivers legal services. This is achieved through the disciplines of project management and process improvement and through collaboration with clients, HSF lawyers, internal pricing specialists and client relationship teams in the design and implementation of tailored frameworks and processes.
The Legal Project Management team work hand in hand with the Alternative Legal Services team in providing global services to clients.
Cathy holds a current practising certificate and has just completed a Global MBA at Warwick Business School, specialising in outsourcing and project, process and operations management in service organisations. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2015, Cathy headed a process improvement team in an international firm headquartered in London whose work was Highly Commended at the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards 2014. Cathy began her career as a Corporate Finance lawyer and subsequently spent 10 years in Corporate Finance Knowledge Management.
